 steps in transitioning from prototype development to large-scale manufactu
 ring. FORGE\, a leader in helping startups navigate the complex journey fr
 om concept to commercialization\, will guide attendees through the process
 \, from market research and product validation to scaling manufacturing op
 erations. Key topics include prototyping\, design for excellence (DFX)\, a
 nd planning for manufacturing readiness\, as well as how to build a sustai
 nable and efficient supply chain. Attendees will also learn about the impo
 rtance of early-stage planning\, risk management\, and quality systems in

 all\n\n​Scott Longley is a Manufacturing Expert in Residence at FORGE wi
 th over 28 years of international operations experience. His expertise spa
 ns process engineering\, production\, and supply chain management\, which 
 he uses to advise startups as they scale. Scott has held roles at Fortune 
 100 companies like Apple\, HP\, and Sun Microsystems\, managing global sup
 ply chains and manufacturing operations. He also co-founded a Net Zero Bui
 lding Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) startup\, where he designed its suppl
 y chain and manufacturing strategy. Scott holds an MBA in Supply Chain Man
 agement and e-commerce from the Thunderbird School of Global Management an
 d is fluent in Mandarin. He volunteers as an instructor for the UCONN Entr
 epreneurship Bootcamp for Disabled Veterans and mentors veteran-owned busi
 nesses.\n\n​Trinell Ball is the Program Director for FORGE in Connecticu
 t\, where he focuses on fostering innovation among state suppliers and man
 ufacturers\, particularly in physical products. With 15 years of experienc
 e in innovation and strategic planning\, Trinell has worked at Toyota's Si
 licon Valley operations\, Leadbird (a sales and marketing technology start
 up)\, and Goodyear's Innovation Lab. He has extensive experience with new 
 product commercialization and venture building for corporations and early-
 stage startups\, taking ventures from 0 to 1. Trinell holds a Bachelor’s
  in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering Management.\n\n
