DESCRIPTION:Scaling Hard Tech in Western Mass\n​What?\n\n​HardTech Holy
 oke is a gathering of anyone building or supporting physical technology in
  and around Holyoke\, including startups\, engineers\, academics\, manufac
 turers\, support organizations\, government\, and community members. Our m
 ission is to showcase and grow the local opportunities for hard tech compa
 nies.\n\nJoin us on June 18th for a daytime tour series and an evening eve
 nt program including a showcase of local projects and resources\, updates 
 from local hard tech companies\, food and refreshments including a full ba
 r\, and ample time to network and connect with the hard tech community.\n\
 nWhy?\n\nHolyoke has been a key industrial city for 150+ years and was bui
 lt with an eye towards technology\, manufacturing\, and innovation.\n\nThe
  factors that made Holyoke capable of producing 80% of the world's paper r
 emain superchargers for today's generation of physical technology:\n• Am
 ple industrial space\n• Green and affordable energy\n• Location and ge
 ographic connectivity\n• Established local manufacturing base\n• Talen
 t from local academic institutions and a capable industrial workforce\n•
  Support from local and regional economic development resources\n\nIn 2023
 \, the first HardTech Holyoke event saw over 100 people converge at the hi
 storic Wauregan Paper Mill to connect and celebrate. In 2025 we aim to gro
 w that momentum into a clear and communicable hard tech ecosystem campaign
