Supplier and Innovation Showcase
Informal networking anchored by a high-energy supplier showcase was combined with a structured program of startup finalist pitches for $15,000 in non-dilutive Engineer in Residence (EIR) grants. The event drew over 200 attendees from across the robust Massachusetts innovation and manufacturing ecosystems.
Five finalist startups gave live pitches describing their company and the discrete engineering problem the funds would be used to address. RISE Robotics won the $10,000 grand prize sponsored by East West Manufacturing, thanks to a technical application review by a panel of expert judges. Additionally, a $5,000 “Audience Choice” award, sponsored by M&T Bank, was awarded to BioBot Analytics based on live audience voting.
Massachusetts House Majority Leader Wagner Joseph Wagner, provided a short keynote address. With support from Leader Wagner and the state, FORGE maintains a Pioneer Valley office focused on engaging with the cluster of suppliers and precision manufacturers there and throughout Western Massachusetts and beyond.
