Behind the scenes at FORGE

Each day at FORGE begins with the energy of the Green Line commute and a warm welcome at the front desk. The moment you walk into our Somerville headquarters in FORGE’s sister organization Greentown Labs, there’s a sense of camaraderie setting the tone for a day filled with purpose and connection. Coworkers gather in the common area, catching up over the Bevi machine, debating which sparkling water flavor to pick.
Work at FORGE is a mix of collaboration, focus, and ideation. In one corner, Program Director David Thompson’s laughter rings out as he chats with a startup founder in a Product Development Session, brainstorming solutions to a manufacturing challenge. Nearby, two coworkers strategize how to promote an upcoming educational event, their enthusiasm sparking new ideas. Meetings often take place in the colorful manufacturing room, while the FORGE desk is the go-to spot for concentration.
Lunchtime is a shared moment: a walk to Bow Market for something local or a quick bite from Market Basket enjoyed on the patio, exchanging ideas and stories. The team’s humor keeps spirits high, fostering a culture where everyone feels supported and valued. FORGE is where innovation meets teamwork, creating a space where every day inspires meaningful impact.
